La iniciativa prevé ampliar la infraestructura hídrica y sumar nuevas áreas productivas entre Chimpay, Darwin y La Cueva de Choele Choel mediante un crédito del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). Las obras buscan llegar aproximadamente 14.500 hectáreas.
